Meudell-Oildale Lodge #695 is a final product of several lodges. The current name comes from the merger of two lodges, Meudell Lodge and Oildale Lodge. At the start of 2019, the finalization of a merger with Libertas-Security Lodge and Meudell-Oildale Lodge was finalized.
Asa Meudell
Asa Meudell, the namesake of the Meudell Lodge, was involved in many Bakersfield activities in the 40’s and 50’s. A newspaper clipping from Feb 4th 1948 states he presided over a talk to the Engineering Club about Frequency Modulation (now called FM) and Television.
Asa Meudell passed away in 1994, a 50+ year member of Masonry.
